The origin of Mundaneum dates back to the late 19th century. The heart of Brussels , it was created by Paul Otlet (1868-1944) , a pioneer of modern information science , and Henri La Fontaine (1854-1943) , Nobel Peace Prize in 1913. The project then was to bring together and index all the knowledge of the world.
